Golf Fore Kids 2008 provides a high quality tournament for the aspiring golfer while raising funds to be applied to the efforts of our students.

Every year the students of Denver First Church in Englewood, Colorado, embark on various adventures which impact the lives of families in their community and around the world. This June, our students will be serving in the inner-city of Minneapolis, Minnesota and the Navajo reservation in Arizona. The mid high students will be working with inner-city ministries, feeding the homeless, leading kid’s clubs, and small construction projects. Our senior high students will be doing construction projects on the reservation, as well as working with the Navajo children and youth. The students will also be broadening their perspective as to how they can better impact their community here in Denver. These types of summer activities, along with the year-round efforts, can be costly and the students are responsible for raising the funds to participate. It is our goal to offer them support to lessen the financial burden by providing quality events that will allow the community to help.

The proceeds from the Golf Fore Kids golf tournament will go toward:

  • 10th – 12th Grade Students: The Navajo Nation – Senior High will finish dorms for struggling reservation youth, put a new roof on the church as well as install HVAC units and insulate windows on the church.
  • 6th – 9th Grade Students: Minneapolis, Minnesota – construction projects and inner-city ministry.
  • Fresh Flood Search and Rescue Team/Mission Denver: This team of dedicated students assist in feeding several hundred homeless and working poor in the downtown area as they share Christ with people in need
  • Summer Programming for younger students: (Birth through 5th): Our younger students will be participating in a week long sports camp hosted by Youth Matters for the community, as well as summer camp programs in the mountains.
